I’m sure the transition from winter to spring has left your wardrobe bursting at the seams and in need of a spring clear out. From woollen jumpers, flamboyant sleeves, jumpsuits, ruffles and summer dresses – it’s hard to distinguish between what stays and what goes. For many, your hoarder instincts kick in and the fear of throwing out what might be a season must have leaves you holding onto every item. Luckily, this is where we come in.

Let’s begin the wardrobe edit…

Distressed holes no more
With denim being the only exception, it’s time for the shredded distressed t-shirts to retire from the wardrobe. Although Yeezy inspired distressed tee’s were a favourite of the Kardashian clan in 2016; it’s just not going to make the spring cut. It’s time to say goodbye for now.

Say YES to the dress
White is not only a colour that looks great with a glowing summer tan, but a shirt dress is a perfect everyday item. A good spring into summer number, as seen on SS17 catwalks, the shirt dress is a daytime meets evening glam gem and a definite yes from us!

Bare shoulders only
Tops and dresses specifically made to be worn off the shoulder are a great summer throw on, however wearing your normal jackets, tops and dresses off the shoulder has been on trend since FW16 and is most definitely here to stay. So, hang onto that basic white shirt, get creative, style away and shimmy those shoulders.

The t-shirt says it all
Actions speak louder than words but when it comes to slogan tee’s, the words speak for themselves. A huge celebrity favourite, these tops don’t seem to be going anyway this year. We say keep, keep, keep!

Moving on from the “baggy” Boyfriend Jeans
It’s safe to say the loose low-slung boyfriend jeans have had their time and it’s now about flattering high-rise jeans with slimmer legs. Still sitting under the boyfriend title but with a slimmer and sexier look, it’s time for boyfriend 2.0. or the very similar Mom jeans. Get your hands on a pair.

Ruffling feathers
Ruffles might seem out-dated but they have made a huge comeback for SS17 and have got us all talking. Whether that be a ruffled shirt or skirt, this statement trend is definitely one to embrace for a edgy yet sophisticated look.

AND DOUBLE YES to sheer
See-through fabrics are taking on a new form and showing off skin is still very much in as the catwalks saw lots more bralets and underwear under clothing. Keep hold of your sheer items and wear them with class this summer.
