When Luminance skincare got in touch to find out if we wanted to try out some of their products, I couldn't say no. Based in California – the brand produce a range of different products for the skin which are organic, vegan and contain no synthetic or toxic ingredients. From face to body – the brand sells masks, cleansers, moisturisers, hand cream, skin butter, foot cream and more.
We were gifted products recommended under their 'youthful' category – specifically for ladies in their 30's and under. The products we received were the Delicate Facial Cleanser, Rosewater Toner, Skin Butter, Hydration Face Moisturiser and the Detox Mask.
Delicate Facial Cleanser
This cleanser is quite soapy, which may have you think that it'll leave your skin quite dry. Usually soapy products tend to strip moisture away from your face. However, this balancing cleanser maintains the natural PH balance of the skin. You have to shake this product a bit before use as the cleanser separates into a clear soap on the bottom and the oils and herbal extractions float on top.
After washing the lather off, Luminance then advise you to use their Rosewater Toner to rebalance the PH of your skin after your skin has been exposed to the alkaline tap water. This leaves your skin feeling mega clean and refreshed, which is perfect for everyday use.
Skin Butter
So, this cream is amazing. Although its made for use on the body, I've been using this on my face as it's oil based and my face gets quite dry in the winter. Despite it's oil base, the consistency is light and fluffy so it's not heavy at all. Made from Avocado Seed Oil, Kukui Seed Oil, Argan Seed Oil, Grape Seed Oil, Sunflower Oil, Floral Extracts and Red Radish Root Preservative - this cream leaves your skin feeling smooth and baby-like. Definitely one for the bathroom cabinet.
Detox Mask
I love a good clay mask. Blended with White Bentonite Clay along with a touch of French Green Clay and Red Moroccan Clay – this mask leaves your skin feeling revitalised and restored. Whilst on the face you feel a tingling sensation, and you can literally feel it pulling out all of the toxins and impurities.
Clay masks usually leave the skin feeling dry as they tend to remove the moisture from your face, however this Luminance Detox Mask does the opposite. The blend of seed oils such as Rosemary Seed, Argan and Jojoba leaves your skin feeling smooth and moisturised.
I'd definitely recommend Luminance Skincare as their products are vegan, and all of their ingredients are natural. Many other cosmetic lines suggest that their products are natural – however still contain some harmful synthetic ingredients from fragrances to preservatives. This year is all about self-care and being conscious of what I put in my body and use on my skin.
If you sign up to their email list on their website, you can get a free sample of their cleanser and moisturiser. You can also use code Beautyrun15 for 15% off all of their products. Happy Shopping!
