Season to season Balmain never fails to reach new heights. From campaign ads, runway collections to collaborations - this time around Balmain’s creative director Olivier Rousteing has made a dent in the world of tech, in a new project with Beats by Dre. Olivier expressed how he approached this project with both caution and total respect, explaining how the handling of headphones is completely different to that of a garment.
This fashion-tech collaboration has taken form in the shape of Beat’s signature over-ear Studio Wireless headphones and Powerbeats 3 Bluetooth earphones, that both come in safari and #BalmainArmys signature green with metallic gold detailing. Let's just say they're very aesthetically pleasing. Known as a music fanatic, Olivier explains to Vogue how this connection came about with Beats by Dre four years ago when they attended his show. Olivier said “What they love about Balmain is that I embrace music. We’ve always had an idea of making something happen together."
Being the amazing Campaign God that he is, Rousteing is not shy to stray from the obvious. He exercised this by enlisting his friend Kylie Jenner; social elite and beauty business owner to be the face of the campaign. “I thought it would be more interesting to choose a girl who represents the new world and touches so many different universes. Plus, I love the darkness she has, at the same time as the glamour.”
The Balmain x Dre Beats collection can be purchased from Apple.com, Balmain.com and Balmain’s New York and Los Angeles stores.

This summer we saw some beautiful wedding gowns worn by celebrities, so much that we felt we had to pick our top 3 for you all to gush over. Whether you're planning your big day, or if you can't even contemplate marriage anytime soon - we wanted to celebrate these beautiful gowns and appreciate them from a design perspective
1). Eniko Hart in Vera Wang
As we all know, Kevin Hart and Eniko Parrish tied the knot on Saturday 13th August and well her dress had us lost for words. Her mermaid style skirt flattered her figure, whilst the plunging sheer v-neck bodice part of the dress added a real sense of elegance. According to Vogue, this Vera Wang Couture bodice took 150 hours to make alone, and it needed more than 10 people. For the evening reception, Eniko changed into a sheer floor length backless long sleeve gown, which she rocked effortlessly. Vera Wang did the damn thing... Eniko you looked absolutely beautiful!
2). Ciara in Roberto Cavalli
3). Eva Longoria in Victoria Beckham

Getting married in a castle means your dress must be grand, and have a romantic old-England feel. Cavalli's creative director Peter Dundas did this well, cos my oh my Ciara looked extremely regal. This custom made gown was also sheer lace like Eniko's, however the singer opted for bell sleeves which created a real sense of royalty. The couple's initials were even embroidered in the lace at the back, which was extremely sweet and added a real personal touch.
3). Eva Longoria in Victoria Beckham

Imagine your best friend is a top designer and she created the wedding dress of your dreams? One word... #GOALS. Victoria Beckham designed this very simple but classic gown for Eva Longoria's wedding day which was simply gorgeous. With the Victoria Beckham sharp and fuss free signature aesthetic, Eva embodied class on a whole new level.
This summer we saw some beautiful wedding gowns worn by celebrities, so much that we felt we had to pick our top 3 for you all to gush over....
I'm sure you've seen this plastered all on social media already, but if you haven't you're in the right place for the ultimate lowdown.
Kanye West teamed up with Olivier Rousteing, Balmain's creative Director to create his new Wolves video which will also stand as Balmain's official Fall 2016 campaign.
The 7 minute video was directed by photographer Steven Klein, and models included big names such as Alessandra Ambrosio, Jourdan Dunn, Joan Smalls and Cindy Crawford.
Here is how we felt about the campaign over at The Beauty Run HQ:
1). Outfit recycling
As you all know our Founder/Editor is a firm believer of wearing the same outfit more than once, and yes Kim and Kanye wore exactly the same Balmain pieces they wore to the Met Gala. However, this left us feeling a little disappointed as we felt like we was watching old material. As Balmain's official Fall 2016 campaign, we were expecting more WOW. Olivier could have dressed them in different pieces from the collection no? Or even custom made them something else to wear specifically for the campaign?
2). There was a lot of aimless walking
The models in the video walked, walked and well walked some more (snore) as Kanye stood in front of them. How exciting?
3). Jourdan Dunn looked FIRE
As always, our girl Dunn looked amazing. Amongst all the aimless walking and Kimye's meh outfit choices, Jourdan Dunn made us forget the rest of the video for a second and yes, only a second.
4). A crazy amount of tears
Everyone was crying in the video including Kanye himself. Damn, we don't think we've ever seen a tear roll down Yeezy's eyes before which managed to pull on our heart strings (not).
5). The video does the collection no justice
As the video is shot in black and white, a lot of the collection lost its life. In the Balmain FW16 catwalk show back in march we saw an abundance of pastel hues, and well this was just completely lost in this video. As Balmain's official campaign video, the art direction failed to really sell in the collection.
Let us know what you think!
