3 Runway Beauty Looks You Can Actually Wear

Sunday, February 18, 2018

High-fashion brands always put on a performance for their shows and presentations to make a statement, but most of the time, as mesmerising as the shows are, it’s difficult to wear the makeup looks presented on a daily. With creativity in mind, a lot of the time many makeup looks just aren't wearable.

With SS18 literally around the corner, we selected some makeup looks straight off the runway that you can actually wear. Including product suggestions, here is the ultimate how-to makeup guide for SS18:

Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham SS18

Simple makeup looks are becoming more and more popular in the beauty world, and this season, Victoria Beckham embraced the natural beauty of her models, opting for a fresh face with a subtle glow.

How to recreate:

Foundation: The Ordinary Coverage Foundation with SPF 15 - £5.95
Ordinary Cosmetics

This lightweight, full coverage foundation will keep your skin looking natural, giving you a soft and flawless complexion.

Highlight : Jouer Cosmetics Powder Highlighter - £19.00

Jouer Cosmetics
This highlighter will give you that needed subtle glow and add some dimension to your face. Try to avoid over highlighting (I know it can be tempting). Remember, we’re going natural.

Lipstick: MAC ‘Strip me Down’ Lipstick - £17.50

MAC Cosmetics
Top it off with a nude long wearing lipstick, close to your natural lip colour. Make sure you choose the perfect nude shade for your skin tone. MAC Cosmetics have a good selection!

Blumarine

This brand really caught our eye with it’s clear, simple face paired with a statement red lipstick. This is a must-try look! A red lipstick gives any look that extra va-va-voom!

How to re-create:

Too Faced
When going for a natural look, try to steer away from ‘pinky’ blushes. Peachy toned blushes appear more natural on the skin especially when applied on the outer-sides of your cheek rather than the apples.

Anastasia Beverly Hills
To keep that natural brow look, opt for a brow pencil to gain full control of your strokes. Just fill in any sparse areas and clean up the shape of your brows. Literally a 3minute job - Perfect!

Christian Louboutin
This has got to be one of my favourite red lipsticks. The formula, wear and colour just makes it the perfect red lippy. You’ll definitely be sure to stand out.

Self-Portrait

We just had to add this look! A little different, but oh so wearable. The subtle pop of colour on eyes is unexpected but so pleasing to look at as the colours are blended beautifully. This is a great Spring makeup look.
How to recreate:
Morphe
This Morphe palette is the perfect palette to play around with for this look. The pigmentation is great! If you’re still hesitant to try this look, why not try it with one nude shade and one bright shade to start with?
BH Cosmetics
No freckles? No problem. This brow pencil is your best friend for creating an illusion of sun kissed freckles. And when worn with that eye makeup, you’ll be looking like a bohemian goddess during the warmer months.
